Call for Abstract: Rethinking AI for Medicine
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming healthcare, yet its true impact depends not only on technological advancement but on how thoughtfully it is integrated into clinical practice and patient care. We invite submissions of forward-looking research and perspectives that critically examine the evolving role of AI in medicine. This call aims to move beyond viewing AI as a standalone solution and instead explore how it can be reimagined as a responsible, collaborative, and human-centred partner in healthcare.
We welcome contributions on, but not limited to, the following themes:
- Clinical Implementation of AI
- AI-assisted Patient Care at Home for Acute and Chronic Conditions
- AI for Mental Health
- AI for Drug Development
- AI for Pathology
- AI for Elderly Care
- Digital Twins for Medicine
- Agentic AI for Medicine
- Neurocognitive AI
- AI as a Co-pilot in Clinical Practice
- Medical Education and Training
- Cognitive Offloading and Deskilling Among Clinical Professionals in the Era of AI
- Verification of AI-enhanced Care
By rethinking AI for medicine, we seek to shape a future where innovation aligns with the core values of healthcare: compassion, equity and trust. We invite researchers, clinicians, technologists, and policymakers to contribute insights that will guide the responsible evolution of AI and ensure it delivers not only smarter systems, but also better care for all.
Submissions may include original research, systematic reviews, case studies, conceptual frameworks, or ethical and policy analyses. Interdisciplinary perspectives contributions that bridge technology, clinical practice, and patient experience are particularly encouraged.
